The Role
We are seeking a talented Heritage Consultant who works well both independently and as part of a team. You will lead the research and preparation of key documents, including Heritage Statements, Conservation Plans, and Building Recordings. You will engage directly with clients and interdisciplinary consultants, offering strategic insights that shape successful outcomes for heritage-sensitive projects.

Essential Requirements
To excel in this heritage consultant vacancy, you will bring:
- A degree in building conservation or archaeology, with membership (or eligibility for membership) of the IHBC
- Solid knowledge of the planning system
- A firm understanding of architectural design principles
- Knowledge of repairs and maintenance of listed buildings
- Desirable: In-depth knowledge of conservation techniques and practices
- Proven ability to produce high-quality reports under tight deadlines
- Skill in advising on modifications to listed buildings
- Proficiency in providing design guidance for new developments in conservation areas
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ideally based in London or surrounding counties, with flexibility to travel
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
