Frances has over a decade of experience working as an architect specialising in heritage projects. Between 2014 and 2019 she was on the AABC Register as an architect accredited in building conservation. Her architectural projects ranged from conservation plans and conservation area appraisals to delivery of site works for conservation repairs and interventions to enhance listed buildings of all designations including scheduled monuments.

Her project clients included Councils, English Heritage and Museums and many of her projects had funding support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. She brings with her experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex heritage projects in sensitive sites, including under archaeological watching briefs.

Understanding the significance of a building in combination with her design expertise means that Frances can identify opportunities to enhance heritage assets underpinned by sound conservation principles.

Currently based in the picturesque market town of Congleton, Cheshire, Frances is ideally positioned to offer her heritage expertise across the Northwest and Midlands regions.

Frances holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Arts in Architectural Design from the University of Edinburgh, and a diploma in professional practice in architecture from RIBA North West, as well as the ABBE Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings.

Outside of her professional life, she channels her creativity into designing quilt patterns and making quilts, which stands as her main hobby.
